Playing for Pets is a 24-hour video game marathon to benefit the Steuben County Humane Society. The event began in 2015 and is put on by Professor Justin Young’s honors seminar in Video Games: Art, Culture and History of a Medium. The event is designed to both raise awareness of the diversity of video games as a medium, while also showcasing the good that can be done using them.
