Comics have gone through some growing pains in the past few years. With a broader push for diversity in all forms of media, comics – particularly Marvel and DC – have created a greater focus on their efforts to become diverse. Since around 2010, we have seen a resurgence of old forgotten characters, and a surge of new diverse characters from all walks of life. How have these pushes and efforts succeeded? How have they stumbled along the way?
