Drama Club asks ‘Who’s on First?’ this weekend

Come view Who’s on First? A “nightmare comedy” performed by the Trine University Drama Club beginning at 7:30 pm from April 6-8, in Wells Theater at Taylor Hall. Performances are free and open to the public.

Who’s on First? was written in 1975 by Jack Sharkey. Jacob McNeal of Hamilton, Indiana, is assistant director for the performances, along with Jan Thomas of Angola, Indiana, serving as stage manager.

HAC professor Dr. Timothy Hopp, faculty advisor to the Drama Club says, “The best way I can describe this play is that it is kind of like Groundhog Day, but with less romance and no groundhogs.” In other words, you might expect the plot to feature some repetition.

This comedy-drama tells the story of four individuals and the complicated relationships in their lives. The main characters include Camille, played by Katherine Smallegan, a criminal justice graduate from Warsaw, Indiana and Don, played by Travis Riddle, a sophomore computer engineering student from Stroh, Indiana. Alice, (Ivy Rubel, a freshman mechanical engineering major from Bradner, Ohio) and Ben (Jarod Davis, a freshman mechanical engineering major from Angola, Indiana) round out the cast.

The Trine University Drama Club invites you to the debut of Who’s on First? Find out what happens next in this “nightmare comedy.”
